NCT ID NCT07525648

First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at how two common anesthetics, sevoflurane and desflurane, affect the optic nerve sheath diameter—a way to check brain pressure—during laparoscopic hysterectomy. Researchers will measure the nerve sheath using ultrasound in 60 women undergoing surgery in a head-down position. The goal is to see which anesthetic may better manage brain pressure changes during these procedures.
