First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how a common anesthetic, sevoflurane, might temporarily affect spatial memory (like remembering directions) in adults having gallbladder surgery. Researchers will test memory using a virtual maze and measure inflammation markers in blood before and after surgery. The goal is to understand if anesthesia causes short-term memory problems and why.
