Blood test may predict feeding issues in ICU patients

Summary

This study will check if low bicarbonate levels in the blood can predict when adult ICU patients will have trouble with tube feeding. Researchers will watch 70 patients for 3 days after they start feeding. The goal is to find a simple way to spot feeding problems early.
