Could simple casts unlock stiff burned arms?
NCT ID NCT05425433
Summary
This study tested if serial casting—applying a series of molds to gently stretch the joint—should be tried first for adults with stiff arms from burn scars. Researchers compared it to usual care in 12 participants to see if it improved arm movement, scar appearance, and how well the arm functioned. The goal was to see if the benefits lasted after the casting stopped.
