Study aims to make common nose surgery safer

NCT ID NCT07425834

Summary

This study aims to make a common nose surgery (septoplasty) safer by comparing two surgical tools. Researchers want to see if using traditional surgical scissors causes fewer dangerous drops in heart rate than using an electric cautery tool. They will measure heart rate changes in 120 adults undergoing the procedure.
