Summary

This study aims to find out if a new blood test can help doctors identify sepsis earlier in emergency room patients. Researchers will enroll 450 adults who come to the ER with signs of a possible infection. The goal is to see if measuring a specific protein (IL-6) in the blood can predict which patients will develop sepsis within three days.
