New hearing implant trial opens for kids under 12

Summary
This study is testing whether the Sentio hearing implant system is safe and effective for children under 12 years old. The device is already approved for older patients. Researchers at eight European hospitals will enroll 50 children with specific types of hearing loss to see if the implant improves their hearing compared to not using any device.
