Could a dye-and-radiation combo spare ovarian cancer patients from extensive lymph node removal?

NCT ID NCT05937620

First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of a radioactive tracer and a green dye can accurately identify the first lymph nodes that ovarian cancer may spread to. About 62 women with early-stage ovarian cancer will receive both tracers before surgery. If successful, this approach could allow surgeons to remove only the key lymph nodes instead of many, reducing side effects.
