Balance boost: sensory training cuts fall risk in cancer nerve pain

NCT ID NCT07027215

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding extra sensory feedback (like special signals to the feet) could improve balance and reduce falling risk in 40 women with nerve damage from cancer treatment. Participants did exercises with or without this extra feedback. The group that got the extra feedback showed better balance and foot sensitivity. This suggests a simple training approach may help cancer survivors stay steady on their feet.
