First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding sensorimotor training exercises to standard physical therapy helps women aged 35-55 regain better shoulder joint position sense after mastectomy. 46 women who had shoulder problems after surgery took part. One group did sensorimotor exercises plus standard therapy, while the other did only standard therapy. Both groups trained three times a week for eight weeks. The goal was to see if the extra exercises improved how accurately women could sense and control their shoulder position.
