Scientists dig into the roots of sensitive scalp

NCT ID NCT07156422

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why some women have a sensitive scalp—a condition that causes tingling, burning, or pain from everyday things like brushing hair or wearing a hat. Researchers will compare skin samples from 40 women (20 with a sensitive scalp and 20 without) to look for differences in genes and tissue structure. The goal is to uncover the biological causes, not to test a treatment.
