First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests a semi-rigid shell barrier to help grow new jawbone in 10 adults with moderate to severe bone loss. Participants receive a bone graft covered by the shell, and after 4 months, doctors measure how much bone formed using scans and tissue samples. The goal is to see if this approach can create enough bone for dental implants.
