Could a diabetes drug stop type 1 before it starts?
NCT ID NCT07430332
Summary
This study is testing whether the medication semaglutide can protect the body's insulin-producing cells in people who have early signs of type 1 diabetes but no symptoms yet. Researchers want to see if taking the drug for a year can delay the progression to full-blown diabetes. The trial will involve 15 participants with early-stage type 1 diabetes.
