Hope for teens fighting genetic obesity with weekly injection
NCT ID NCT07302802
Summary
This study is observing how well a weekly injection called semaglutide helps teenagers with a rare genetic form of obesity lose weight and improve their health. About 70 teens aged 12-21 will receive the injection alongside diet and exercise advice for 68 weeks in a real-world clinic setting. Researchers will track weight loss, body composition, hunger levels, and overall quality of life to see if this treatment is effective for this specific condition.
