Summary

This study tests a new treatment plan for adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are not healthy enough for strong chemotherapy. The approach uses a drug called selinexor, either alone or with very low doses of other chemo drugs, to quickly reduce cancer cells in the blood and bone marrow. The goal is to improve survival while causing fewer side effects. About 71 participants will be enrolled.
