Gentler treatment tested for frail leukemia patients
NCT ID NCT07236931
Summary
This study is testing a new treatment plan for adults with a type of blood cancer called acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are too old or frail for standard strong chemotherapy. The plan uses a drug called selinexor, aiming to reduce or avoid traditional chemotherapy drugs to see if it can control the cancer while being easier on the body. Researchers will watch how quickly the treatment clears cancer cells and check for side effects to help guide care.
