New program aims to empower arthritis patients from day one

Summary
This study is testing a new self-management program designed to help people recently diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis. 130 participants in Denmark will be randomly assigned to receive either the new program plus usual care, or just usual care alone. The program involves sessions with a nurse to help patients learn skills to better manage their symptoms, medications, and daily life with arthritis.
