New hope for stopping severe Self-Harm in developmental disabilities

NCT ID NCT03995966

Summary

This study aims to find better ways to treat severe, hard-to-stop self-injurious behavior in people with intellectual disabilities. It will compare two different behavioral therapy approaches in a small group of 16 participants aged 4 to 25. The goal is to see which method is more effective at reducing self-harm and related behaviors for specific subtypes that don't respond well to standard treatments.
