Gentle touch vs. muscle relaxation: which eases back pain better?

NCT ID NCT04199091

Summary

This study tested whether teaching people with chronic back pain gentle craniosacral therapy self-help techniques works better than teaching them progressive muscle relaxation. Seventy-six participants with long-term back pain were randomly assigned to learn one of these approaches in group sessions over 12 weeks. Researchers measured their pain, daily function, and quality of life to see which method provided more relief.
