Can you fit your own hearing aid? new study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT06942325
Summary
This study aimed to compare a new type of over-the-counter hearing aid that people can fit themselves against a traditional, professionally fitted hearing aid. It planned to enroll adults who perceive they have mild to moderate hearing loss to see if both types provide similar benefits for hearing in daily life and noisy situations. The goal was to help make hearing aids more accessible and affordable, though the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
