Summary
This study looks at whether women can collect their own vaginal samples for HPV testing instead of having a doctor collect them during a pelvic exam. About 500 people referred for colposcopy or cervical procedures will provide both a self-collected sample and a doctor-collected sample. The goal is to see if the self-collected test is just as accurate at finding high-risk HPV and precancerous changes, which could make screening easier and more accessible.
