Less cutting, less pain: new dental surgery approach shows promise
NCT ID NCT07353580
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares two ways of doing dental root surgery. One method removes the entire infected area and uses stitches, while the other removes only part of it and uses a medical glue to close the wound. The goal is to see if the gentler method leads to less pain, swelling, and faster healing. Twenty-four adults with persistent tooth infections are taking part and will be followed for a year.
