NCT ID NCT05709379
First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at whether breaking up long periods of sitting with short bursts of physical activity—either light or more intense—can improve how the body handles sugar and fats. Twenty-five healthy but sedentary adults participated in different activity patterns while their blood was tested. The goal was to find out if the intensity of these activity breaks matters for reducing health risks linked to too much sitting.
