First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at 170 adults aged 60 and older who need an ERCP, a procedure to treat bile or pancreatic duct problems. It compares deep sedation (where you are very sleepy but still breathing on your own) to general anesthesia (where a breathing tube is used). The goal is to see which method causes fewer breathing issues during and right after the procedure.
