New sedative tested for safer surgery in kids

Summary

This study is testing a sedative medicine called remimazolam to see if it is safe and works well for keeping children and teenagers asleep and comfortable during surgery. It will involve 240 young patients who are having planned operations. Researchers will measure how well the sedation works and check for any side effects like changes in heart rate or blood pressure.
