Safer sedation for colonoscopy? new drug trial aims to reduce risks
NCT ID NCT07456111
Summary
This study compares two sedation methods used during colonoscopy to remove polyps. It aims to see if a newer drug (remimazolam) helps patients maintain more stable blood pressure and breathing compared to the commonly used drug propofol. The trial will involve 90 adults and measure how quickly patients wake up and recover after the procedure.
