Clearer, quicker recovery from eye surgery? new sedative study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07325227

Summary

This study is testing if using a newer sedative called remimazolam makes cataract surgery safer. Researchers want to see if it leads to fewer sedation-related problems and helps patients wake up feeling clearer and recover faster after their short eye surgery. They are enrolling about 30 older adults having cataract surgery that is expected to take less than 30 minutes.
