Safer sedation? study tests new anesthesia system for delicate gut surgery

NCT ID NCT07305857

Summary

This study aims to find the safer and more effective way to keep patients asleep and comfortable during a long, delicate procedure to remove early-stage tumors from the stomach or colon. Researchers will compare a standard manual method of giving anesthesia drugs to a newer computer-controlled system that aims to keep drug levels more stable. They will measure how each method affects breathing safety, recovery time, and the depth of sleep during the procedure.
