Calmer kids in surgery: study tests two Anxiety-Reducing drugs

Summary

This study aims to see which of two oral medicines, ketamine or clonidine, works better to calm children before and after minor abdominal surgery. It will involve 84 children aged 3 to 12. The main goal is to compare how well each drug sedates the child and whether it reduces the need for strong painkillers during the operation.
