NCT ID NCT04537013
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special collagen patch (Chondro-Gide®) placed over large knee cartilage injuries could help people recover as well as standard microfracture surgery for smaller injuries. The study planned to enroll 82 people aged 18–55 with knee cartilage damage, but it was terminated early. The main goal was to see if the patch improved pain and function without serious side effects.
