Summary
This study tested whether secukinumab, an injected drug, could reduce pain and improve shoulder function in adults with moderate to severe rotator cuff tendinopathy (a common cause of shoulder pain). Participants received either the drug or a placebo, plus standard care, for 24 weeks. The trial was terminated early, so results are limited. It involved 33 adults with shoulder pain lasting 6 weeks to 6 months.
