Could a CGM keep seafarers with diabetes safe at sea?
NCT ID NCT07251257
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) can reliably track blood sugar in insulin-dependent seafarers during their normal work at sea. Fifty UK-licensed seafarers will wear a CGM for 12 months and log their readings. The goal is to see if CGMs are accurate enough to replace finger-prick tests and help keep everyone safe.
