New cream trial offers hope for healing painful skin blisters in children

NCT ID NCT07482787

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily cream called SD-101 can help heal wounds in children with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a condition that causes fragile, blistering skin. About 80 children, aged 1 month to 12 years, will apply the cream or a placebo to their entire body for 60 days to see if it helps close a specific target wound. The main goal is to see if more children using the cream achieve complete wound closure after one month compared to those using the placebo.
