Screen time linked to Pre-Surgery jitters in toddlers?
NCT ID NCT07425405
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study watches 275 children aged 2-5 who are having planned surgery to see if their usual daily screen time is linked to how anxious they feel right before the operation. Parents report how much and what type of content their child watches, and researchers measure anxiety using a standard scale. No new treatments or changes to care are involved—the goal is simply to understand if screen habits might be a risk factor for preoperative anxiety.
