First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 120 people having surgery for gastrointestinal cancer to see how well different risk scoring systems predict serious complications or death within 30 to 60 days after the operation. The goal was to find which scoring method works best to help doctors plan better care. The study did not test a new treatment, but rather compared existing tools to improve future surgical outcomes.
