Could a 'Glitch' in vision cause scoliosis? researchers investigate

NCT ID NCT07356999

Summary

This study aims to understand if teenagers with idiopathic scoliosis (curved spine) process visual information differently when trying to stay balanced. Researchers will compare 70 teens, half with scoliosis and half without, using motion analysis and visual perception tests. The goal is to learn if a 'misunderstanding' of visual cues contributes to the spinal curve, not to provide treatment.
