First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether special scleral contact lenses treated with Hydra-PEG can make eyes feel more comfortable and less dry. 46 people with dry eye wore the lenses for at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and rated their comfort on a 0-10 scale. The goal was to see if these lenses improve daily eye comfort compared to usual vision correction.
