Oval lenses may offer better eye comfort, small study finds
NCT ID NCT07288658
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether scleral contact lenses with an oval-shaped edge fit the eye better than traditional round ones. Seven existing lens wearers tried both designs, and researchers used advanced imaging to measure how well each lens cleared the eye's border. The goal was to see if oval lenses could reduce pressure and improve comfort for daily users.
