Research aims to find better treatments for schizophrenia patients in legal trouble
NCT ID NCT05939765
Summary
This study aimed to understand which medications work best for people with schizophrenia who committed violent crimes during psychotic episodes. Researchers planned to observe adults with schizophrenia in forensic treatment to see how different antipsychotic medications affected their symptoms and aggressive behaviors. The study was designed to gather evidence about treatment options for this vulnerable group, but it was withdrawn before any participants enrolled.
