First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a second drug that boosts brain signals can improve schizophrenia symptoms better than one drug alone. It involves 90 adults with schizophrenia who have not responded well to at least two standard antipsychotics. Participants will continue their current medication and receive either the experimental combination or a placebo for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination reduces symptoms like hallucinations, withdrawal, and thinking problems.
