Brain-Boosting drug tested for Schizophrenia's hidden symptoms

NCT ID NCT07122895

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug that targets a specific brain receptor works better for men or women to help control the 'negative symptoms' of schizophrenia, like lack of motivation and social withdrawal. 90 participants with stable schizophrenia will take the experimental drug or a placebo for 12 weeks while continuing their regular medications. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms, thinking skills, and daily function to see if the treatment helps and if men and women respond differently.
