Can a simple iPad game help prevent schizophrenia in At-Risk youth?

NCT ID NCT04681807

Summary

This study explored whether a training program on an iPad could help young people who have a close family member with schizophrenia improve their ability to recognize emotions in others. Researchers tested 82 participants aged 15-35, comparing a special emotion recognition training program to regular games, while also scanning their brains to see how the training might affect brain activity. The goal was to understand if early social skills training could benefit those at higher genetic risk for the illness.
