Five-Day brain zap trial aims to lift the fog of schizophrenia

NCT ID NCT07428460

Summary

This study is testing if a faster version of a non-invasive brain stimulation therapy can help improve the 'negative symptoms' of schizophrenia, like low motivation and social withdrawal. 75 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real treatment or a placebo version over five consecutive days. The goal is to see if this accelerated approach is safe, tolerable, and can reduce these difficult-to-treat symptoms to help plan larger future studies.
