Can a simple social score predict recovery in schizophrenia?

NCT ID NCT07445217

Summary

This study looked at whether a person's ability to function in daily life could predict how much their schizophrenia symptoms would improve with medication. Researchers followed 763 people with schizophrenia for 12 weeks while they took the medication paliperidone. They found that patients with severe symptoms who scored well on a social function test were more likely to see significant symptom improvement.
