Summary

This study tested whether a new oral medication called CPL500036 could help control symptoms during acute flare-ups of schizophrenia. For 28 days, 189 patients experiencing worsening symptoms received either one of two doses of the medication or a placebo pill. Researchers measured changes in symptoms like hallucinations and delusions, while closely monitoring safety and how the drug moved through the body.
