Summary
This study tested a new vaccine called SchistoShield® to see if it is safe and triggers an immune response against schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease. Healthy adults aged 20 to 59 in Burkina Faso and Madagascar received three doses of the vaccine or a placebo. The main goal was to check for side effects and how the body reacts to different dose levels.
