Summary
This study looked at how short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) get into the blood when delivered to different parts of the gut. 13 healthy volunteers took capsules that released SCFAs in either the small intestine or the colon. Researchers then measured SCFA levels in blood samples over time to see if the delivery site matters.
