New 8-Week program aims to boost communication in kids with autism

Summary

This study tests an 8-week program called SCERTS that helps children aged 3 to 6 with mild to moderate autism improve their social communication and emotional skills. The program also supports parents by reducing stress and improving quality of life. Forty children in Pakistan will be randomly assigned to either the program or a waitlist to see if the approach works.
