Gentle touch therapy trial offers hope for women suffering Long-Term breast cancer pain
NCT ID NCT07206394
Summary
This small UK study is testing whether ScarWork, a gentle manual therapy, can help reduce persistent pain that some women experience after breast cancer surgery and radiation. Forty women who have completed treatment at least six months ago and still have pain will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus up to five ScarWork sessions. Researchers want to see if this therapy is practical to deliver in NHS settings and whether it's worth conducting a larger future trial.
