First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether a specially designed scarf helps parents spend more time holding their healthy newborn babies skin-to-skin, compared to standard hospital practice. About 143 mothers of full-term babies took part. The main goal was to measure the average daily skin-to-skin contact time during the hospital stay.
